Handle Climate Change Film Festival (HCCFF) 2023 is a leading Chinese environmental film festival with a special focus on climate change. It is held on Oct.27th-Nov.3rd, in Shenzhen, China.

What is the submission requirement?

We accept all kinds of video submissions including documentaries, short films, animations, mobile videos , series or non-commercial advertisements, relating to climate change, water shortage, energy conservation, endangered species protection, science & technology exploration or other issues that challenge people's consciousness about environmental value. Can I send a preview copy?

No, we require the finished film and its preview copy.


Can I send a "rough cut" before entry closes?

A rough cut or 'work in progress' may be submitted. However, if you have not got the finished film when you register online, please contact us before the entry closes. Then we can tell you how to deliver your complete work in due time.


How many films can I submit?

There are no restriction on the number of films you submit. However, you must remember to make a separate online application form for each film. A series of films related to climate change or environment conservation are welcomed.


Is there any submission fee?

No, we do not charge for the submission this year.


Does the submitted film need to have a license agreement for screening?

Yes, we need you to finish the License Agreement for the Entries in the application form.


How and when will I know whether my film has been selected?

We will send you the confirmation email when your film is selected and trailers of all the selected films will be put on our website.
